# Location sharing apps that notify you on access

Not every location sharing app tells you when your location is checked. Here is how the best-known apps compare on that single question.

If being notified when someone checks your location matters to you, the app you pick matters a lot. The table below compares glancy against three widely used location sharing options on exactly that question, plus the related features that make notifications meaningful in practice.

## Why notifications alone aren't enough

A notification only matters if there is also a record you can check later, and if you can adjust precision and pause access when you need to. That's why the comparison below includes the full context, not just a single yes/no.

| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
