Location sharing that respects everyone in the family

Family location sharing usually means one-way monitoring. glancy makes it mutual: every access is visible to the person being located, at any age.

Family location sharing is usually framed as one-directional: a parent watches, a child is watched. glancy makes sharing visible with an access log and adjustable access notifications. Repeat views within the notification cooldown are grouped together. Each person controls their own outgoing sharing.

What this looks like in practice

  • Parents can check in on a school run without it feeling like covert surveillance - the notification makes it transparent.
  • Scheduled sharing can be set for school hours only, respecting privacy outside that window.
  • Personal groups let you manage one sharing rule for several relatives. They do not automatically create mutual sharing between all members.

Start together, decide individually

Connect using a glancy ID or QR code first. Each person then chooses their own outgoing sharing. Your group applies one rule to your location; everyone else manages their own sharing independently. Removing a member can restore stored personal rules.

Frequently asked questions

Is glancy only for tracking kids?

No. glancy is built for two-way sharing - parents and kids, or any family members, can all see when their location was checked.
